Joe Satriani vs. Coldplay Court Case Dismissed

Brit mag NME.com is reporting that guitarist Joe Satriani’s lawsuit against COLDPLAY, based on his accusation that Chris Marin and co plagiarized his 2004 song “If I Could Fly” for their 2008 single “Viva La Vida”, has been dismissed from court.

Satriani sued the band last December, seeking a jury trial to award him monetary compensation. An out of court settlement has likely been agreed upon.
