Frontiers Records is pleased to announce an explosive new double live album from legendary rock band, Whitesnake. MADE IN BRITAIN – THE WORLD RECORD, will be released as a 2-CD set in Europe on July 5th and in North America on July 9th. During 2011, the mighty Whitesnake embarked on one of their most successful world tours in recent times, performing 96 shows in more than 35 countries, starting in North America in May until the second UK run in December. The request for another live album came from Whitesnake’s incredibly loyal fans – never ones for being notoriously shy about insisting what they want from their favourite musical reptiles. Before heading out on the “Forevermore World Tour 2011”, the decision was made to record every performance on the tour.
After spending the early part of 2012 editing and mixing the WHITESNAKE: MADE IN JAPAN DVD, the production team consisting of The Brutal Brothers (Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale and Doug and Mikey Mac), had the task of listening to over 90 shows and 130 hours of Whitesnake performances. Inspired by the performances from the 9 sold-out UK shows and a further 87 performances from around the world, the live albums MADE IN BRITAIN and the accompanying THE WORLD RECORD were born. The recent FOREVERMORE songs shine as brightly as classic Whitesnake songs such as “Is This Love”, “Still Of The Night” and “Here I Go Again”, all performed with feverish energy, encouraged by remarkably enthusiastic audiences from Newcastle to Sao Paolo. Please see below for the full track listing.
Formed in 1977, and steered by the legendary David Coverdale, Whitesnake carry a rightful reputation as one of the world’s leading rock bands. Coverdale’s blues roots, combined with a feral sense of rock and roll, have consistently shaped the ‘Snake’s sound along with Coverdale’s love and appreciation of impeccable musicianship. Whitesnake’s ascent to the very top of the rock n’ roll heap was confirmed with 1987’s self-titled mega-platinum album, which saw two massive Top 10 hits, two #1 singles with “Here I Go Again” and “Is This Love” and a virtual 24-hour domination of MTV around the world. David Coverdale was recently named one of Revolver’s “100 Greatest Living Rock Stars” and the UK’s Kerrang voted Coverdale the “Last Great Rock Star.”
Musicians on MADE IN BRITAIN – THE WORLD RECORD include David Coverdale (vocals), Doug Aldrich (guitars), Reb Beach (guitars), Michael Devin (bass), Briian Tichy (drums) and special guest Brian Ruedy (keyboards).

Ripple Music has set May 14th as the date on which APE MACHINE’s Mangled by the Machine will be made available to the masses (one day earlier in the UK).
A conceptual album that mixes animal aggression and technical precision, APE MACHINE’s Mangled by the Machine carries an organic depth and warmth rarely heard since the time of rock’s glorious early years, and infused with an exceptional modern sensibility. When the pissed-off, protest-minded lyrics lock in with the band’s stone-cold groove, APE MACHINE demonstrates an earth-shaking ability to rock. A true four-piece, the group has been called real heavy-psych for the iPhone generation that delivers true guts and glory rock and roll. Mangled by the Machine will be available as CD, digital, and vinyl releases. For Fans of: Quicksand, Led Zeppelin, The Sword, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, Jethro Tull, and The Rival Sons.

“I never thought I’d find a stoner-rock group that will appeal to fans of The Sword and Whitesnake, but here it is. No seeds or stems, either.” -Tucson Weekly
“Blending equal parts rock ‘n’ roll, blues, stoner rock and psychedelia, Ape Machine is a band whose heart is steeped in the rich musical history of the late ’60s and ’70s. That doesn’t mean they’re some kind of hippie dippy throwback band. Ape Machine delivers their material with heavy metal muscle…”– Noisecreep.com
A true four-piece, Portland, Oregon’s APE MACHINE has been called “a rock and roll band with a finger on the pulse of the 70’s and their asses firmly in the present” and “real heavy-psych for the iPhone generation” that delivers “true guts and glory rock and roll.” Combining psychedelic, classic and progressive rock with arena-worthy metal, bluesy stoner-rock and catchy riffs in odd signatures, APE MACHINE’s music carries an organic depth and warmth rarely heard since the time of rock’s glorious early years (or your Dad’s bad ass record collection) infused with an exceptional modern sensibility. Having finished up a short Southwestern and West Coast U.S. jaunt with Austrian retro-rock sensation, Been Obscene, APE MACHINE is preparing to take their laser precision, yet frenzied live show to Europe in late May (including dates with the much vaunted Orange Goblin) in support of their brand new album, Mangled By The Machine.
Mangled By The Machine is scheduled for world-wide release on May 14th, 2013 through Ripple Music. The album was recorded and mixed by Tony Lash at Supernatural Sound in Oregon City, Oregon, and in typical, unique APE MACHINE fashion, the album was recorded as one long continuous track in one take. Broken into ten individual chapters, Mangled By The Machine is an angry conceptual piece of music that takes a cue from the masters of the 70’s progressive masters, yet reflects the immediacy of the chaotic world all around us.
Burning Rain’s new album, Epic Obsession, is due to be released on May 21 in North America via Frontier Records. The group was founded by current Whitesnake axeman Doug Aldrich together with singer Keith St. John (ex-Montrose) along with Sean McNabb (Quiet Riot,Dokken, House Of Lords) on bass and Mat Starr (Ace Frehley) on drums.
Doug Aldrich commented, “I think we have a good batch of songs that will stand up. It’s a melodic blues rock approach to the sound. It’s really the only thing I have done outside of Whitesnake in the last ten years.”

Whitesnake will be releasing their new DVD/live CD package, Made In Japan which is set for release on April 19th in Europe (22nd in the UK) and April 23rd in North America and will be available in several formats: a deluxe 2CD/DVD edition, Blu-ray and a standalone DVD. The performance footage is shot in stunning HD in 5.1 and stereo and is taken from Whitesnake’s co-headlining set at the “Loud Park” festival on October 11th, 2011 held at Saitama Super Arena in Japan during their “Forevermore World Tour.” The performance was initially recorded only for Japanese TV and future Loud Park promotions, but after three songs were broadcasted on a Loud Park highlights program in Japan, Whitesnake received unprecedented requests for this performance to be made available to the general public.
Made In Japan contains songs from Whitesnake’s most recent studio album, Forevermore, as well as classic hits such as “Is This Love,” “Still Of The Night” and “Here I Go Again.” The bonus CD also includes never-before-heard outtakes and acoustic versions of material from the award winning Forevermore album that were recorded during sound checks on the 2011 Japanese tour.. Snakecharmer have released their new video for the song, “Accident Prone. The song comes off the band’s self-titled debut album, which will be released in North America on January 22 and January 25th in Europe via Frontiers Records. Check it out below.
Snakecharmer includes former Whitesnake members Micky Moody, Neil Murray, Chris Ousey, Laurie Wisefield, Adam Wakeman, and Harry James.
“The songs on our debut album reflect the kind of music that the members of the band want to play, which is melodic rock with a blues influence,” says Neil Murray. “Each of us has played many different styles of music, and our influences are varied, but Snakecharmer originally came together to play mainly early Whitesnake songs, so that is our starting point. There wasn’t a deliberate plan to write songs in a particular style; each song on the album started as a basic idea by one or two band members, and if the other guys were enthusiastic about the idea, then the song would be worked up into a finished song.”

It’s been a busy day today with people quitting bands and here’s another sadness for you. Brian Tichy has announced that he’s leaving Whitesnake in order to focus on Something Unto Nothing (S.U.N.), the band he started with Sass Jordan. Bassist and singer Michael Devin, also affilated with S.U.N., will remain with Whitesnake.
Said Whitesnake mainman David Coverdale: “We are truly sad to see [Brian] go, but, we fully support the pursuit of his ambitions and sincerely wish him well. His fearless drumming brought a relentless driving edge and to our music that we fully embraced. Good luck, Brian… May the S.U.N.shine brightly on you!!”
Whitesnake has begun the search for a new drummer. There are several musicians already being considered.
A spokesman for the band said that this will not affect the forthcoming tour dates for 2013.
Brian Tichy, drummer and songwriter and known for his gigs with Billy Idol, Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne and most currently, Whitesnake, broke his collarbone this past weekend in a mountain biking accident. Due to the accident, he won’t be able to play tonight’s The Moby Dicks – All-Star Tribute To Led Zeppelin concert at Vamp’d in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be temporarily replaced by Quiet Riot’s Frankie Banali.
Tichy is one of the organizers of the Bonzo Bash NAMM Jamm 2013, which will take over Anaheim, California on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Observatory. If you’re not able to attend that show then you have another opportunity to see him opening night of the NAMM show.
According to blabbermouth.net, Glen Drover has quit Queensryche, the Geoff Tate fronted version, before even playing a single show with the band.
Drover said in a statement, “I am really sorry to say that I have decided to bow out of Geoff Tate’s Queensryche. I was very excited about doing this gig initially, but learned in the past week or so that it’s in my best interest not to do this right now. I feel really bad for those who were excited about the idea, and to Geoff himself, who, I have to say, was very nice to me on my past trip to Seattle. I, of course, am very disappointed for arriving at this point, and making this decision, to say the least. I sincerely wish the Geoff and the band all the luck on what they do in the future.”
In a recent court decision, a judge ruled that both Geoff Tate and his former bandmates had a legal right to use the Queensryche name.
Geoff Tate’s version Queensryche currently includes drummer Bobby Blotzer (Ratt), bassist Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake), guitarist Kelly Gray and keyboardist Randy Gane. For more information on this version of the band, go to queensryche.com.
The other version of Queensryche features original members Michael Wilton (guitar), Eddie Jackson (bass) and Scott Rockenfield (drums) plus guitarist Parker Lundgren and new singer Todd LaTorre. For more information on this version of Queensryche, please visit queensrycheofficial.com.
Something Unto Nothing, featuring Sass Jordan and drummer Brian Tichy of Whitesnake and Ozzy Osbourne, had a gig on November 16th in Las Vegas, NV and was joined onstage by Jake E. Lee previously of Badlands and Ozzy Osbourne. The band covered a Led Zepplelin track “Rock And Roll” and you can check out that performance below.
Sass Jordon recently recorded vocals for the song, “Redeem Me,” which will appear on Jake E. Lee’s upcoming solo album.
