| My Life Story: |
I was born in NJ, where I first found music around the age of 7 or 8 in the likes of Fleetowood mac, The doors, Billy Joel, Zepplin, the Stones,Chicago, Eagles and so many more I can't remember. mixed in with my fathers Classical music collection. Soon, I was transfixed and awed. Though we only really had AM radio, I talked my mom into buying me more albums, and being the spoiled child I am, got more. As the years ran on, I got more. As the 80's rolled in we happened to live in an MTV test market, and My friends and I would gather around my TV or a friends since we where the only two who had it. My love for now had faces and movement to go with it. I do remember being the girl everyone that my friends would go to if the had a tune in their head, and couldn't quite get the lyrics out, or figure out the band. For some reason I knew it, Even though I couldn't pass any of my classes in school, maybe it was because I was too into taking whites and listening to music, who knows.
At 13 or 14 I moved to Anaheim, CA went to Savanna HS and it was all the same. I spent days with my very musical best friend. Him on the piano, and us singing Journey, Stevie Nicks, and me thinking I was Pat benatar. I still didn't get much school work done.
By the time My sr yr came, I was pregnant, so my baby was born listening to rock hair bands, and being dragged to my friends houses where my friends tried forming a band.. they sucked.
I did figure out I needed a degree so I decided on a whim to go to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in LA as a Merchandise and Marketing, where I was an honor student. Guess i was just board all those years, and music was a way to get around it.
In 1994 I was diagnosed with Lupus, which ended my very active career. and started writing, but being the perfectionist I am, and sometimes a bit stupid, I wrote paper to pen.. Hmm that allows you to crumble up your work. so most of my early work, is sitting in a landfill.
I am married with a 21 yr old daughter and 13 yr old daughter. I Just started writing fro BrainGell, and debuted with the article "Women in Rock". Since I'm on social security, I cant make income, and my husband does ok, so I think Ill stick around here for awhile, just typing on my laptop. no more paper to pen.. I just spin my wheels and get pissed. Another thing I am the crappiest speller.. and without spell check to get me through, I'd be in deep shit.
