GET YOUR STATION INFO CORRECT 2 Years, 7 Months ago

I've noticed that some people need help with their yellowpages info. Please verify you all have the correct info as shown below!

Eeeek, Even I was at fault here oops sorry VB.

Did you know that Braingell is not listen on winamp? Im not talking about shoutcast.com Im refereing to winamp/media/internet radio. Metal genre has gone and only rock is left. but if you type braingell under any station drop any bandwidth bgr is not shown.

This has been like this for a while now. dont show on old versions of winamp only the new version with the new gui search thingy does bgr show up.

Or atleast the 5.03 version dont and new one it does :/ Seeing as the new verison fucks up 5 days a week and your ment to send a nasty email says the fault pop up lol.

I see it when I go here. I no longer see winamp radio I see them advertising some xm channels... I see us here still http://www.shoutcast.com/directory/index.phtml? sgenre=Metal

Winamp's SHOUTcast listing has completely changed....The old servers supposedly fried and the only versions of Winamp that will now display the radio stations are 5.21 and later (they just released 5.22)...The older versions of Winamp and their SHOUTcast listings will no longer be supported....The new "Online Services" section is where you'll find the radio and tv listings.....It's A LOT different to navigate....It now uses an xml command _script_ in a Windows Explorer browser.....Braingell is still listed under the "metal" genre there.

Yah thats the shit gui screen I was refering too that crashes alot and you cant access winamp tv when it crashes. Since AOHELL has taken over winamp they fucked it up big time, why cant they just leave well alone? Old index was fast and works all this shit xml going around is slow slow slow and unstable and personally I fucking hate it!

XML been around for awhile, its just become popular thanks to podcasting. XML is only good if you really are good at coding it, one little character wrong, and all your code is shit!

AOL has owned Winamp since 1999....the last version that was pre-AOL was 2.54....the new library screen does crash out a lot.....Winamp.com claims that it's a server side issue and not a problem with the program itself....I wonder how long they're going to hide behind that one.

anyhoo....back to the original topic.....we noticed a typo I did in my "Yellowpages" section on my scheduling info....It took me 4 times before the correct info finally stayed in the shoutcast source.....I'd suggest typing in all of your info, closing out the program, then reopen it to see if the information took....and if you're setting up the shoutcast source for the first time....Write down ALL of your info as you get it set to where you like it before closing out Winamp....Otherwise you might risk losing a lot of hard work in getting your levels correct.

4 times!? Damn I feel lucky that it all took on the second time! Now when I update anything in the Shoutcast, I immediatly close it down, and restart it! Better safe than sorry...
