New Release show on July 21st 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Well, I'd like to say this show went on without a hitch, but I can't. For some reason the internet was having problem keeping my stream alive. I think we got disconnected about ever 15 + mins... but lostannie and I struggled on. Below is a list of the bands and songs we played.

Band: Machine Head
Album: The Blackening
Released: March 26
Song Played: Beautiful Mourning
Info: Bay Area metal masters Machine Head are back with The Blackening, a glorious follow up to the critically acclaimed Through The Ashes of Empires. An evolutionary album, The Blackening features Machine Head staying true to their roots with some of the heaviest riffs ever recorded while incorporating many beautiful, melodic choruses.

Band: Pro-Pain
Album: Age of Tyranny / The Tenth crusade
Released: May 22
Song Played: The New Reality
Info: Marking the band's 15-year anniversary, AGE OF TYRANNY/THE TENTH CRUSADE is a heavy music milestone for Pro-Pain. The set is not quite a full-on concept album, but there is a clear, connecting thread throughout that suggests mankind's doom at the hands of our leaders.

Band: Eyefear
Album: A World Full Of Grey
Released: July 17
Song Played: A World Full Of Grey
Info: When I first started listening to this album I wasn't sure if I liked it, but the more I listened the more I started to hear bands like Dream Theatre, Helloween, Angra, Hammerfall and Iced Earth. If you love any of these bands, then you're gonna love Eyefear.

Band: Bon Jovi
Album: Lost Highway
Released: June 19
Song Played: Summertime
Info: Lost Highway isn't "Bon Jovi goes country" so much as a meaningful tribute to the Nashville ethos done on their own terms. They honor the spirit of the town through 12 simple, direct originals. Its rock with a touch of twang.

Band: Heel
Album: Evil Days
Released: July 7
Song Played: Evil Days
Info: Heel say their heros are DIO, IRON MAIDEN & MALMSTEEN, which can definately be heard in their songs. This Swedish Power Metal band formed back in 2003, and this is their debute CD. The CD shows great promise of things to come.

Band: Spheric Universe Experience
Album: Anima
Released: July 4
Song Played: Sceptic
Info: The music of Spheric Universe Experience is technical, melodic and possesses a top-notch progressiveness, that can be compared to bands such as Dream Theater, Pain Of Salvation, Symphony X and Fates Warning, but filled with an incredible intensity and an original identity of their own.

Band: DGM
Album: Different Shapes
Released: May 28
Song Played: New Life
Info: The Italian Progressive Metal band is back with their 2007 release Different Shapes. DGM has actually been around for a decade and released a half dozen albums. This new CD reminds me alot of Kamelot, Symphony X and Dream Theatre, but with a little something extra that I think will finally bring their name to the masses.

Band: Manzana
Album: Nothing As Whole As A Broken Heart
Released: June 14
Song Played: Pain
Info: This band reminds me of the bands that flooded the scene in the late 80's early 90's, but with more of an alternative feel. Most the choruses are catchy, and the music grooves along at a nice pace.

Note: This is the video to the song "Falling To Pieces" which isn't the song we played on the show.

Band: At Vance
Album: VII
Released: June 28
Song Played: Cold As Ice
Info: AT VANCE is not your typical European Metal band. No way! AT VANCE seems rather dedicated in showing elegantly (enough) how heaviness and melody can combine into Metal. If you think bands like HELLOWEEN are long gone, then give this new CD from At Vance a shot.

Band: Evidence One
Album: The Sky Is The Limit
Released: June 20 (In some places this may be released on July 2)
Song Played: The Sky Is The Limit
Info: The Sky Is The Limit is Evidence One's third CD release. The band has a lot going for it, great old fashioned hard rock song writing, wonderful riffs and the great pipes of Carsten Schulz (Domain, Earthshaker, Altaria).
