You cannot click on an asx link in FF and call to winmedia. The asx file is a basically an activex reference to the actual file. Unless you install an activex plugin into FF (which sorta defeats one purpose of having FF) it treats the code in the asx file as nothing more than a text file. Opera does the same, for the same reason.
You can, however, right click on the link and choose "Open Link in Ext.App." This should open the asx file in mediaplayer by looking to your windows file associations, rather than FF's.
Personally, I just right click on the bgr.asx link and choose to save it to my desktop. Then, whenever I want to fire up BGR through mediaplayer, I just click my desktop link. I don't even have to screw with a browser that way.
