What is the Best Slayer Album Ever? I'm not that old so i wasn't alive when Hell Awaits came out, but it is still good. But the best album is still a tie between South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss. They are just so fucking awesome.
Though both albums are very good, I have always leaned towards Reign In Blood. The album came out during a relatively tame period in metal and there was nothing even remotely close to being as intense as that album. In fact, there are very few albums that can stand up to it now.
Diabolus In Musica is right up there mainly because there's a sense of, dare I say, prog elements in the music. Different than what the band had been doing for the better part of their careers, but definitely Slayer.
Fuck it . . . they're all good. It's Slayer we're talking about!
God Hates Us All - Shows us that they can still rock. I actually thought Diabolus was their worst album; none of it really sounds has Slayer sound to it which is why they don't play any of that album during concerts except for Stain of Mind.
Anyways, Slayer is totally awesome, and I'll listen to them over any other band around. Except for Opeth; because that's just unfair, man!
reign in hell rules! it's real good stuff- speed&aggresion ...and nothing else... but when i come to think of it, u must admit that show no mercy is just as good...just think of it...done at the time when barely noone played as extremely ...by some kids (under 21), so melodic, so fast, so well arranged- all the solos and riffs, such full and complete sound ...and all the dark energy... show no mercy is an all time classic. beside those two all the rest is more or less standard, i mean- the stuff u would expect from them

I'm going to have to say Seasons In The Abyss. It's one of those albums I can just listen to again and again and again. That CD has probably spent more time in my various stereos than any other. I love that whole album from beginning to end. A close 2nd goes to Undisputed Attitude, the punk rock cover album. SO aggro it is. 14 tracks whiz by in 29minutes, fuckin awesome.
reign in blood, hands down... the ONLY slayer album that you could play front to back on the air (if we were allowed) that would get no complaints from any slayer fan.
as a matter of fact, you might even argue that its the ONLY metal album you could do that with. honestly off the top of my head, i cant think of another album i would wanna do that with...
alright, your all convincing me to say it... when I discovered Slayer at like 10, I listened to em all(that we're out).. my favorite back then was Show No Mercy, cause Evil Has No Boundries was the first slayer song I heard and the opening was what got me into em... but as for a favorite album, no, none. Favorite songs is more like it.. favorite songs?
1. Die By The Sword/God Hates Us All 2. Jesus Saves/Raining Blood/War Ensemble/Born Of Fire/Seasons In The Abyss 3. The Rest
