New Releases Show May 11th 1 Year, 5 Months ago
This weeks show went better. lostannie was back, but things with my computer still caused a problem. We where able to make it pretty far this week, playing all 10 songs, and about 12 requests before the computer died.

It back up and running, but only stays up about 30 mins to an hour. Anyone got suggestions? I've updated every driver, the bios, XP, the whole nine yards, and the more updating I do the more unstable my system seems to become? Its weird as my two older computers chug along nice and stable. Anyway you didn't come here to read this, you want to read about the new releases, and here they are:

Knight Area - The Dutch masters of progressive rock return with their long awaited second album “Under A New Sign”. Three years ago Knight Area stunned the progressive rock world with their debut “The Sun Also Rises”. Knight Area creates epic symphonic rock in the vein of Genesis, Marillion, IQ, and Pendragon. Originally conceived as a studio project, Knight Area evolved into a touring band drawing quite a bit of attention in Europe. The new album should also appeal to fans of heavier progressive bands like Arena and Dream Theater. Released: Apr 3

Immolation - Immolation will continue pummeling folks with their brand of anti-Christian brutal Death Metal -- which fans have dubed, "Imperial Death Metal". There new CD "Shadows In The Light" is a juggernaut that simply will not be stopped. Released: May 8

Morgana Lefay - The band originally known as "Damage", then "Morgana Lefay", then just "Lefay", are back once again using the name "Morgana Lefay". The album "Aberrations of the Mind" takes you through the labyrinth of the human mind. Possession, anger and madness served with a big bang and an attitude without compromises. Released: Apr 12

Kromlek - Do you like Bavaria and Viking/Pagan Metal? Then Kromlek's album “Strange Rumours...Distant Tremors” is just what you've been waiting for! Released: Mar 16

Nine Inch Nails - Trents new album "Year Zero" is a story, with each song telling you more. An amalgam of ideas taken from tales like 1984, The Matrix, and The Wall."Year Zero" takes place on a scorched earth 15 years from today: The war on terror has escalated into a full-blown fanatical religious struggle, the American people are sedated by government-sanctioned drugs, and a violent underground resistance movement is trying to usurp the totalitarian U.S. regime. Released: Apr 17

Omnium Gatherum - For their third album, the Finnish melodic death metal band has a new record label and a new vocalist. Jukka Pelkonen replaces Antti Filppu behind the mic. After stumbling a bit on their last release, Omnium Gatherum have returned to form. "Stuck Here On Snakes Way" blends brutal death metal with catchy thrash riffs, clever melodies and keyboards that add atmosphere without detracting from the intensity of the songs. Released: Apr 3

Paradise Lost - The new single CD from Paradise Lost called, "The Enemy" is awesome. The CD actually has 3 songs on it, and each song is great, and very diverse. Released: Apr 13 ~ Note: U.K. label "What Records" will release a limited-edition seven-inch vinyl box set of PARADISE LOST's new album, "In Requiem", on May 21. The box features four 7-inch singles, a poster, a CD in transparent sleeve and a booklet. This box is limited to only 2,000 copies worldwide.

Good Charlotte - Their multiple piercings, shaved heads, and abundant tattoos have them labeled as a punk band, but on their fourth album, Good Charlotte--led by twin brothers Joel, and Benji Madden--fall much more under the umbrella of 1970s arena rock and mainstream ballads. There is the occasional sound of pop-punk found on previous records, and also some distorted-vocals, which sounds like Green Day with horns. People who like Good Charlotte will love the new CD called "Good Morning Revival". Released: Mar 27

Oceans Of Sadness - This Belgian black/death/gothic/avant metal band have been honing their sound for years, and now, with their new CD "Mirror Palace", they come up with their magnum opus, taking their hybrid several steps further. This album is highly progressive, while also remaining coherent and convincing. Released: Apr 9

Allen-Lande - JORN LANDE and RUSSEL ALLEN returns for the second strike. This quite interesting project turned out to be quite successful and I guess the sales numbers of their last year debut attempt "The Battle" justify with no doubts this second coming. "The Revenge" walks pretty much the same line of "The Battle". Singers exchange roles and occasionally they collaborate in duets. Who’s doing a better job is something subjective since it’s a matter of taste - both singers have exceptional voices. As for the music included in "The Revenge" don’t expect the re-invention of the wheel. Thought its more than obvious that the whole album rotates around the two "star" singers the songs can be considered quite good. Released: May 14

Remember to catch our next show on the night of/morning of the 18th/19th.
