Great, the RIAA gets a new tool to harass people... I wonder if the Sony EULA that came with the rootkitted CD's has anything to do with this. In it, it specified conditions in which you were not allowed to have the songs on your computer. Once again, the industry seems to have found something to latch onto to abuse their position because of things some people do with music. How long are they going to go fater people, especially those who haven't done anything wrong? As one of the comments to the linked article says, it looks like the suits want us to buy more than one copy, one to cover the "normal" playing of the CD and one to cover having it in digital form, regardless of whether we play it on the computer or with an MP3 player. What's next?
