I saw something similiar to that last year in Chicagoland. The concert was called "Play!" for about 2 1/2 hrs. an orchestra played video game music spanning from the 80's to present while showing video clips from the games. They went from Super Mario Brothers to Halo. It was freakin' awesome. And it helped they had a full liquor bar open at intermission
