Rumours of a full-blown world tour for reformed rockers Led Zeppelin continue to grow, with the Cult's Ian Astbury letting slip this week to crowds in the U.S. that they had been approached to open for the band next year in America.
Zeppelin play a massive one-off charity show next month in London, but had not announced any other plans to perform together. However, speaking to the crowd at Bogart's nightclub in Cincinnati over the weekend, Astbury claimed the band were in advanced talks with Zeppelin over a 2008 tour.
"We'll be back next year. Because we're opening for a band you may have heard of…the name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it", Astbury told fans.
Zeppelin play at a tribute concert for Atlantic Records' founder Ahmet Ertegun on December 10th, with all money raised going to charity.
