Guatemalan Police Say Teenagers Influenced By Satanic Heavy Metal Music Killed 6-Year-Old Girl

According to the International Herald Tribune, Guatemalan police said Wednesday (Jan. 3) that two teenagers influenced by Satanism and heavy metal music killed and dismembered a 6-year-old girl in a drug-fueled ritual. The girl's body parts were found Monday in a sack in El Mezquital, a poor district in the capital of Guatemala City. The teenagers, aged 18 and 19, were arrested hours after the discovery and confessed in front of journalists to killing the girl while on drugs. Police later found traces of the girl's blood next to objects used in satanic worship, including a cow's skull and a circled star, police spokeswoman Olimpia Pineda said. The teenagers are fans of heavy metal bands that sing about Satan, Pineda said. Read more at www.iht.com.

Shit like this is always tragic and sickening.
But why people choose to put emphasis on the fact that certain people who do these things listen to heavy metal is just pure comedy. If some guy would kill 10 little girls and was listening to Celine Dion at the time, nobody would give a shit about that.
Anyone who seriously believes that ANY band would have that type of influence on a normal person needs to get a fucking head-exam, it has NOTHING to do with the music, it has a hell of a lot to do with the fact that these people are fucked up in their heads way before the music came into the picture.
Having said that, R.i.p little girl, may you soul find peace in the afterlife.

I'm 25 and have always had a great relationship with both my parents. One of my big passions in life is football, specifically the Green Bay Packers.(I live in Wisconsin, I cheer home team for every sport) I hang out with more "normal" people then metalheads. So I'm not listening to death metal to shock anyone. I listen to it, because of it's aggression, and musicianship(don't fool yourself, there are a lot of great musicians in death metal)

This is another attempt by the media to lynch metal and all who like it. Maybe the drugs had something to do with this, or the fact that these morons were nothing more then walking abortions with an IQ less then their shoe size? Geez, I wonder. One thing the media never takes into consideration when shit like this happens is the fact that millions of people listen to metal, or have listened to metal, and have never killed anyone.
