Pitbull Unleashed in UK
After 5 long years in the wilderness, and also having someone hack his e mail account and telling his contacts that he had died, Braingell Radio’s very own UK news geek is coming out of retirement and playing his first live dj set in the UK for 5 years.
The gig is going to held at Saks Underground, Southend-on-Sea in Essex on Friday 26th November. The mayhem will commence at 9pm, and if moshers are still standing, finish at 2am. Entry is £3 on the door.
The Pitbull has had a long involvement with the Essex metal scene, being one of the founders of Club De-Generation, which held live music as well as label promotional nights. Fellow dj and co promoter for the comeback gig, Scott “Monkey” Reynolds explained, “If it wasn’t for The Pitbull, a lot of new bands in the Essex area wouldn’t be where they are now, the guy is a legend in these parts”.
A lot of the metal heads in Southend thought that The Pitbull had died about 7 months ago, due to a hoax e mail sent out saying he had a heart attack. But as visitors to Braingell Radio know, he has been alive and well and writing articles. The venue on 26/11 has a 250 capacity,so it is recommended that you get there early, so you can get in, and expect the usual drunken debauchery that was the trademark of the old de-generation days.
