GWAR Wrapping Up “Bloody Tour of Horror” With Final Flourish

Intergalactic murder-muppets GWAR are back from doing the “No Sleep Til…” festival in Australia and New Zealand, where they rocked the outback with bands like NOFX and Megadeth, and are poised to finish up what has been a ridiculously busy year with a final spate of shows on the east coast of the U.S. The hardest-working band in show biz history is also treating their fans to a last round of inane yet idiotic appearances on the internet, doing their best to entertain and edify the masses with a variety of puerile delights.

Said front-thing Oderus Urungus, “reached” in a garbage dumpster behind a popular Battle Creek nightspot, “We did a Christmas special for, we tested the new Microsoft Kinnect for Game Informer, and my human slave even wrote a book about some good friends of ours. The only thing I regret is that I apparently can’t tell a Bantha from a Wampa!”

And make sure you catch GWAR‘s last appearances in the U.S. until they return to Antarctica for an extended period of drug abuse and penguin-booting.

Oderus continued, “I have no idea why we do so much to entertain you people. Maybe it’s because we are such driven artists. Maybe it’s because we love the drugs and the money. Or maybe it’s because I am just turning forty…seven…million years old.”

GWAR‘s latest masterpiece “Bloody Pit of Horror” is in stores on now and you can also purchase it on the official GWAR page on the Metal Blade Records website at: The landing page includes all current tour dates, GWAR footage from both and, and pre-orders for “Bloody Pit of Horror” on CD, a GWAR t-shirt, or the ultimate “Bloody Pit” package that includes the CD, the GWAR t-shirt, and a 12×12 autographed cover print! (While supplies last or until GWAR decides to start using the prints as rolling papers…whichever comes first)

  1. “Intergalactic murder-muppets.” Now that’s a nice turn of phrase! Is that yours? BrainGell is certainly lucky to have some genuinely talented writers!

  2. LOL…no Scorched. Can’t take any credit for that. Copied straight from the promo material 😛
