APOCALYPTICA Ordered To Pay $60,000 To RAMMSTEIN In Trademark Infringement

According to Anwalt24.de, Finnish rock cello quartet APOCALYPTICA has been ordered to pay 45,000 euros (approximately $59,000) in damages to German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN in connection with a German advertising campaign for APOCALYPTICA’s 2007 album, “Worlds Collide”. RAMMSTEIN frontman Till Lindemann was one of several featured vocalists on the CD, which was reportedly being sold in Germany with a sticker across the cover stating “featuring RAMMSTEIN.” The judgment was entered at the Regional Court of Berlin last month awarding compensation to RAMMSTEIN for trademark infringement.
