HEATHEN Issues Lineup ‘Clarification’

San Francisco Bay Area thrashers HEATHEN have issued the following update:

“Recently, a news story appeared on Blabbermouth regarding HEATHEN‘s lineup. This story was not an official press release written or released by the band or its management and deserves clarification.

“At this point, bassist Jon Torres is still a member of HEATHEN. It was discussed with Jon that he would be sitting out the upcoming European tour with the band to focus on his health, with the expectation that he would return to the group for future activities.

“The band is happy to have former member Jason VieBrooks filling in as bassist for the tour with OVERKILL and DESTRUCTION in March but this is not a permanent change in the band’s lineup.

“We look forward to seeing you all at our warm-up show in San Francisco on February 4th and on tour in Europe in March.”

HEATHEN‘s lineup for the upcoming tour will be as follows:

David White – Vocals
Lee Altus – Guitar
Kragen Lum – Guitar
Jason VieBrooks – Bass
Darren Minter – Drums

HEATHEN‘s “Dying Season” video can be viewed below. The clip was filmed in April 2010 in Sacramento, California with Darin Wood, Christy Savage and Amy Slockbower of Trash Film Orgy Productions, a company that specializes in B-horror films. This is Trash Film Orgy‘s first foray into the metal video world. Also on the set was airbrush artist Alvin Petty, creator of HEATHEN‘s “Victims Of Deception” (1991) and “Recovered” (2004) album covers, as well as METALLICA‘s “Creeping Death” EP cover.

“Dying Season” comes off HEATHEN‘s latest album, “The Evolution Of Chaos”, which was released in the U.S. on February 16, 2010. The CD was issued in Japan on December 23, 2009 via King Records and was made available on January 25 in Europe via Holland’s Mascot Records.
