Obscura Singer Loses Voice, Cuts Tour Short
Due to illness, OBSCURA have been forced to cut short the remainder of their North American tour. The MetalSucks.net-sponsored Contamination Tour will continue on through May 10th with label-mates Graves of Valor, with appearances on select dates from Brutal Truth and Hero Destroyed.
Obscura vocalist /guitarist Steffen Kummerer issued the following; “Several nights ago, after struggling with illness throughout this tour, I’ve lost my singing voice entirely and can barely speak. At this juncture, it’s best for me to rest rather than deliver anything less than exceptional performances. For all the cities we’ll miss, we’ll be back in the winter to make-up these dates. Thanks to everyone who made our first North American Tour so amazing. We’re looking forward to returning again in the winter.”
The tour will conclude earlier than expected with the May 11th through 14th dates being cancelled. Affected cities are as follows; Danbury, CT, New York City, Baltimore and Philadelphia. A list of on-going shows is below.
