AMHERST – Metalheads will have a chance Thursday night to take in some live music in town.
Four metal bands, including one from Amherst, will perform at the Knights of Pythias Hall beginning at 6 p.m.
Kirk Jessome, one of four members of local band Sins of a Saint, said the concert had to be rearranged at the last minute after a van fire cancelled the remaining tour for three of those that were to be on the bill.
“The show will still go on with three local bands, and Clearl from Moncton being added to the bill,” Jessome, who plays bass and sings with Sins of a Saint, said.
Jessome’s band mates include Nick Morouney, Mike McManaman and Cody Isaacs. The band has been together for a year-and-a-half.
Joining Sins of a Saint will be In the Ground from Prince Edward Island, and Moncton’s Inciting the Masses.
A Springfield, Massachusetts, band, Ligeia, was supposed to be the headliner of the show but cancelled after the fire.
“The management group from Ligeia had gotten in touch with Maritime Metal Management because they heard about some other good metal shows that happened in Amherst,” said Jessome, who added his band’s manager, Steven Brideau, is a part of Maritime Metal Management and asked Sins of a Saint to perform as well.
The show runs until approximately 11 p.m. and admission is $10.
