One tour, seven bands, 4 new albums, the show is promising to be a great one. Here is a little information about the main headlining bands.
Before Born of Osiris was known as Born of Osiris, they went through several band name changes. Starting off as DiminisheD (2003-2004), then changed their name to YourHeartEngraved (2004-2006), then Rosecrance (2006-2007), and finally changed their name to Born of Osiris in 2007, where they have kept the name since. Primarlily falling under the genres of progressive death metal and metalcore, their lyrics tend to focus on Egypt, power, life and loss. Since 2007 they have released two singles and three full length albums, including their newest album The Discovery, which is due to be released on March 22nd by Sumerian Records.
Hailing From Washing DC, Darkest Hour is joining the tour to help promote their own newest album, The Human Romance, which is in stores now. Being a bit more melodical then progressive most would put this band under the two genres of melodic death metal with a bit of metalcore influence. Having formed in 1995, they have released a total of seven full length releases with plenty of splits, EPs, and singles in between.
As Blood Runs Black is in a similar ball park as the other bands, being death metal with some metalcore influences. This band has only released one album with four demos and a single up until their newest full length release, Instinct, due to hit stores on March 15th. Thier lyrical themes tend to revolve around personal struggles, society, and positivity. Staight out of LA, California, this band has been around since 2003 and has been quickly gaining popularity throughout the metal scene.
The Human Abstract joins the Atticus Metal Tour III to help promote yet another new album of their own, Digital Veil. Very melodical with complex time signatures and pouding bass, their new album is promised to be a powerful dawn of a new era for this band. With the return of founding guitarist and songwriter A.J Minette, the album is expected to be similar in sound to their highly acclaimed Nocturne album.
