CRADLE OF FAITH Inducted into Decibal Mag’s Hall of Fame

Decibel Magazine has inducted Cradle Of Filth’s infamous debut full-length album, The Principle of Evil Made Flesh (Cacophonous Records, 1994), into the magazine’s prestigious Hall Of Fame, making it the 78th inductee of essential/groundbreaking heavy metal albums.

“Churches have been burned (nine in 1992 and one in 1993) to the ground, rivalries between different black metal factions made public, and people—chiefly figurehead Øystein Aarseth of Mayhem and Deathlike Silence Productions—killed. Regardless, Cradle of Filth and about 10,000 other teenage Satanically-inclined dudes the world over were about to embark on a new—presumably left hand—path.”

Cradle Of Filth’s latest opus, Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa, released last November on Nuclear Blast Records. The band’s most recent music video for the track, “Lilith Immaculate” can be seen on YouTube at: The video was filmed in the UK last fall with director Ross Bolidai.

Cradle Of Filth will continue to play several summer festival dates in support of Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa.
