SKELETONWITCH DECIBEL Flexi-Disc Track Streaming Now
Ohio’s SKELETONWITCH are now streaming “Tragedy of Days,” their contribution to DECIBEL’s flexi-disc series, exclusively at MetalSucks.net. The track was recorded during the Forever Abomination sessions with producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Hatebreed) in Los Angeles, but will only be available through this limited series. If you are not already a subscriber, you can order this issue and flexi-disc directly through DECIBEL.
Forever Abomination, SKELETONWITCH’s first album with new drummer Dustin Boltjes (Demiricous), will be issued in three formats: digital download; a six-panel, plastic-free digipak; and a triple-gatefold LP (which in turn will be available in several color variants). Dallas-based WHITE ARMS OF ATHENA’s debut full length, “Astrodrama,” is out now. “Astrodrama” was recorded by Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, The Human Abstract) and is a must have for fans of Cynic, Meshuggah, Between the Buried and Me, etc. If you haven’t heard it yet, it’s still streaming at Hails and Horns’ website. “Astrodrama” is available in stores everywhere and through PROSTHETIC’s webstore now.

WOLVES LIKE US Post New Track
Norway’s WOLVES LIKE US have posted the track, “Burns Like a Paper Rose,” at Noisecreep. The track features guest vocals from Gared O’Donnell of Planes Mistaken For Stars, and you can hear it and read the interview HERE. The band is touring later this year in Europe with Kvelertak and labelmates, TRAP THEM.
REVOLVER Premieres New LANDMINE MARATHON Track
Revolver Magazine has posted “Three Snake Leaves,” the opening track off LANDMINE MARATHON’s fourth album, Gallows, due out September 27; listen now!
An early review on Stereogum.com stated, “Gallows finds the Bolt Thrower-nodding Phoenix, Arizona death-grind quintet finally capturing the energy that’s made Grace Perry & Co’s live shows some of the best over the past few years… Gallows features the band’s strongest, best sounding songs to date.” Pre-order the album from Prosthetic’s webstore.
Gallows was recorded by Landmine Marathon guitarist Ryan Butler at Arcane Digital Recording Studio (Exhumed, Nightrage, Misery Index, Phobia). The album features the debut of the band’s new drummer, Andy York.
Also premiering today, Metal Injection has posted the third of a series of exclusive Landmine Marathon video clips. This one features frontwoman Grace Perry explaining the meanings behind “Three Snake Leaves” and other songs on Gallows, all inspired by 17th century folklore; see it here!

JUNIUS “Reports From The Threshold of Death” Due Out Oct. 25
The dark rock group Junius has announced plans to release their highly anticipated sophomore full-length, Reports from the Threshold of Death, on October 25.
Reports from the Threshold of Death was the first album to be recorded at Will Benoit’s Radar Studios in Clinton, CT (the first fully solar-powered sustainable studio on the East Coast) with longtime friend/producer James Dunham of rock-noir band InAeona. The recording was in many ways a return to Junius’ roots, with engineering assistance from past collaborators Benoit and Daryl Rabidoux, mastering by Nick Zampiello and Rob Gonnella (Isis, Converge, Torche, Doomriders), and art designed by former Junius bassist Ira Bronson (of Black Day Creative).
