Metal music is taking over The Bronx! Today is officially Anthrax Day! Before the “Big 4” gig tonight at Yankee Stadium, Fronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. presented a proclamation to Anthrax, declaring today “Anthrax Day in the Bronx.”
Three members of Anthrax have strong Bronx roots. Drummer Charlie Benante and bass player Frank Bello both grew up in Throggs Neck, while guitarist Rob Caggiano is a native of Pelham Parkway.
