Death metal progenitors Cannibal Corpse unearth their third single today, “Encased In Concrete,” via Decibel Magazine. “Encased In Concrete” is the fourth track off the band’s crushing new studio offering, Torture.

Produced by Hate Eternal’s Erik Rutan, Torture is an undeniable creation of pile-driving brilliance and another testament to the band’s lifelong dedication to the death metal genre. In a 9/10 review of the record, Decibel Magazine proclaimed: “As always, the band’s musicianship is downright inspiring. JOB FOR A COWBOY Arizona Death Metal Legion To Kick Off Metal Alliance Tour Next Week At SXSW!
Arizona death metal legion Job For A Cowboy will kick off a five-and-a-half week stretch of North American dates on this year’s Metal Alliance Tour next week. The live rituals will commence on March 15 in Austin, Texas as part of South By Southwest 2012 and consume 35 more cities through April 21. The band will be joined by headliners Devildriver,The Faceless, Dying Fetus, 3 Inches Of Blood, Impending Doom and Wretched.
In addition, the furious quintet will play double duty on March 15 as they headline Metal Blade Records’ 30th Anniversary [unofficial] SXSW day party. Presented by Musicians InstituteAnnex (formerly Emo’s Annex) and co-sponsored by ‘stache media, the show will begin at 11:30am and devour ears until 6:00pm at the MI Annex. OSI: New Song Streaming on Decibel Magazine’s “Deciblog”
Fire Make Thunder marks the fourth undertaking for the collaborative duo known as OSI. Formed in 2002 by Jim Matheos (Fates Warning, Arch/Matheos) and Kevin Moore (Chroma Key, former Dream Theater keyboardist), OSI is a long distance partnership, both musicians typically writing and recording alone and sending song ideas back and forth for further elaboration. Written and recorded throughout most of 2011, this latest release once again reflects the eclectic influences of both Matheos and Moore.

ROSE FUNERAL announces Spring tour dates with Pathology and The World We Knew!
Rose Funeral Will Be Emerging From Winter This Spring With A Month’s Worth Of Tour Dates. The Band Will Be Joining Pathology And The World We Knew Throughout April And May In Venues Nationwide. The Spring Slasher Tour Kicks Off April 6th In Richmond, VA With All Three Bands And Ends On April 21st In Chicago. From April 22nd – April 29th, Both Rose Funeral and The World We Knew embark on The Spring Fling portion of the tour. May 2nd-May 8th, fans can check out Rose Funeral on a short string of headlining dates across Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kentucky.

The bands will be hitting the infamous 6th Street location for 6 hours of metal and hard rock, celebrating the label’s 30th Anniversary, with doors opening at 11:30am. The party will be free of charge and open to the public.
