At Malone’s Bar & Grill Tonight, May 19th: HURRICANE, WHITE LIE, LORD MARSHALL, STONZ THRO, and ROSANNA CENCI BAND

Slowly, but surely Malone’s Bar & Grill, in Santa Ana, is becoming the hot-bed venue to see old school ’80s acts. This Saturday, House of Metal is presenting one of it’s best line-ups yet.

Headlining is Hurricane. Straight-forward rock and roll, Hurricane was one of the best acts out there that missed the high level of fame, that others achieved. Nonetheless, they are a kick-ass band with lots of melodic rock anthems. Original members Robert Sarzo (guitar) and Tony Cavazo (bass) have brought Hurricane back to the scene having released 4 albums during their brief career. Formed during the high-gloss Sunset Strip days of the ’80s the band avoided all the cliches and gimmicks and made it work based upon their ’70s-influenced music.

White Lie will also be in the thick of things, bringing their dynamic sound to Malone’s. Always more than ready to challenge the headliners this will be their last show for awhile before returning to the studio to finish their upcoming CD.

Lord Marshall is definitely old-school metal along the lines of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Plus, you gotta love that name. I haven’t seen ’em yet, but, based upon their youtube clips looks like everyone is gonna get their craniums a bit slammed in.

Stonz Thro will be there, too. I have only seen ’em once so far but they totally blew me away. Like White Lie, they are 70’s hard rock based, more along the lines of Foghat and Southern rock.

Opening the evenings festivities is the Rosanna Cenci band.
