Eddie Trunk: I fully admit I am massive Giants fan, but also look at them objectively every year. I really like their chances if they can stay healthy, which is always a huge key to any team’s success. I really think they have a great chance at making a run towards the Super Bowl again. Granted the schedule is brutal, but that’s what you get when you’re the champs. The Giants have a great balance of veterans and young guys. I look for big things from guys like rookie David Wilson and veteran Martellus Bennett. Bennett is on a mission after being buried on his former team, the hated Cowboys. He is complete tight end and a massive guy. I like what I have seen and heard from him. The health of Terrell Thomas at corner is huge. If he and Prince Amukamara can hold down the second and third CB slots and allow Antrell Rolle to play his natural position of safety, that would be a huge boost for the secondary. Within the division, I don’t see much from the Redskins and I don’t see Vick making it through the year for Philly. So, it will come down to Dallas and the Giants as usual. I like my GMen to win the division and go from there.
Jim Florentine: The Giants will win their division at 11-5 and make it all the way to the championship game and lose a close one. Jets will be what they were last year, 8-8. Everyone in their division got better in the off season except for the Jets. By week seven, Rex Ryan will be so frustrated with his team he will be eating through the staples in his stomach.
Don Jamieson: The Giants are going to take a turn for the worse. They will have that “year-after-the-Super-Bowl” slump. I’ll say they just miss the play-offs by at 9-7. Jets with Tebow at Pro-Life Stadium will make the playoffs at 10-6. I also predict that you will see a Dan Lorenzo shirt on this Saturday’s episode of That Metal Show with Geoff Tate.
