Former Megadeth/White Lion/Black Label Society Bassist to Compete on “The Amazing Race” TV Show

Bassist James Lomenzo (White Lion, Megadeth, Black Label Society) will be be competing on the new season of CBS’ The Amazing Race, which premieres on Sunday, September 30th at 8 p.m. EST.

The eleven teams participating all hope to win a grand prize of up to $2 million were announced by CBS today.

Lomenzo, 53, will compete with teammate Mark “Abba” Abbattista, 45, a friend, entertainment lawyer and HAIL! manager.

When asked what the biggest challenge was that he and his teammate will face on the “Race”, Lomenzo responded, “I don’t think we will have too many challenges. We work pretty well together.”

The Amazing Race is an eight-time Emmy Award-winning reality series hosted by Emmy Award-nominated host Phil Keoghan, which has eleven teams, made up of pairs, compete against each other on a journey around the world for approximately 25 days. At every destination, each team must participate in a series of challenges, both mental and physical, and only when the tasks are completed, the teams learn of their next destination. Teams who are the farthest behind will gradually be eliminated as the contest progresses, with the first team to arrive at the final destination winning $1 million.
