Metallica’s Gift of Music
Metallica are helping develop musical talent in Greenwich London UK, to the tune of £75,000.
The metal icons have donated the proceeds of their show at The O2 in September 2008, to create Sound Stage, a scheme to give 50 local youngsters the chance to improve their musical skills, using the facilities at The O2’s British Music Experience.
Harvey Goldsmith, BME chairman, said: “The Sound Stage project is a fantastic creation for young people. Metallica have donated their money and their time and invested in the future of British music.”
