With our gears moving at break-neck speeds, we at Static Age Records are proud to officially announce the addition of three new bands to our roster!
Sleep Serapis Sleep: From the great white north of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sleep Serapis Sleep has been growing a large following with DIY touring and the release of two albums. Blistering speed and pummeling intensity drive this group’s sound; Metal Maniacs had wonderful things to say about the band, saying Sleep Serapis Sleep “is sure to be a hardcore pleaser to fellow metal heads with this scene.” The band is working on their second full-length album that will be their first on Static Age. The band will be hitting the road in June with new label mates The Gun Show and Artifex Pereo with dates to be announced soon. You can check out the band here: http://www.myspace.com/sleepserapissleep.
Artifex Pereo: A young band with spectacular promise, Artifex Pereo was hyped by Absolute Punk.net who begged listeners to “nestle into this delicately orchestrated handful of songs.” Expanding their sonic imprint with an outlook on music that knows no boundaries, the band opens themselves up to a wide fanbase. Fresh off the release of their debut EP Am I Invisible?, Artifex Pereo has moved nearly 1,000 hard copies of their debut EP with no distribution or label support. This six-piece band will be taking some time off from the road over the summer to begin writing their first full-length album. You can hear some of their tracks here: http://www.myspace.com/artifexpereo.
The Gun Show: Christian metallers The Gun Show, both technically proficient and brutally heavy, are a touring workhorse. Indie Vision Music said “they [The Gun Show] open up on you with guns a blazing.” Playing energetic and fun songs, packed with breakdowns, sing alongs, bang your head riffs, and melodies, this Ohio outfit seems to know what people want to hear. They will be working on an upcoming release in the next few months and will be playing Cornerstone 2010. You can hear material from the band on their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/xthegunshowx
In additional news, we have added a new member to the staff of Static Age, TJ Sego. Formerly the drummer of Gwen Stacy, TJ will be serving a dual purpose at Static Age handling booking and acting as an in-house production consultant to our bands. TJ spoke about joining the Static Age family, “The direction that Static Age are going, as well as the attitude they take regarding their bands and partners, is one that I would be a fool to not be a part of. I find the growing band roster to be very strong with big potential, and I am very much looking forward to contributing to their success creatively and professionally.”
