Black Army Jacket Announce Reunion Show, The Band Features Municipal Waste’s Drummer

BLACK ARMY JACKET, the ’90s powerviolence band that featured drummer Dave Witte (currently of Municipal Waste), will be playing a reunion show this August. The band will be part of this year’s Best Friends Day festival in Richmond, VA. Also appearing throughout the fest’s 4 days will be Negative Approach, Municipal Waste, Propagandhi, Banner Pilot, and Off With Their Heads. More bands will be announced in the coming weeks.

Black Army Jacket released a slew of 7″s, EPs, and compilation tracks. The released 222, their lone album, in 1998. In 2006, a semi-discography CD entitled Closed Casket hit stores. In the mid to late ’90s, the NY/NJ band toured along with bands like Spazz, Benumb, and Noothgrush. Besides Witte, the band also features SMNnews and Noisecreep contributor Carlos Ramirez on bass, guitarist Andrew Orlando (ex-Disnihil), and Rob Lawi on vocals.
