Thought I would write a little bit about why I DJ at Braingell.com and not at some other station. Basically I am a metal head and I know there are other stations out there, but BGR supports unsigned bands and also the station owner gives me free reign over what I do when I DJ. I prefer to DJ metal and be able to play the type of hard rock and metal that I like. Now I have been known to play songs by bands I don’t actually care for, but that is over the fact I used to be a Radio DJ at a station in Key West, Fl. back in 1995. The station was WOZN The Ozone 98.7FM, but now is a Jazz format. I was also known as CrazyIvan there for 6 months while onair, but was previously known as Jeff The Naked Guy when I was doing stuff for a nudist group I co-founded in Key West called Florida Key Naturists.
I do enjoy finding new bands to get people to hear and discover. Some bands I have found out here in the Metro-Atlanta area are really good and need to be heard by alot of people. Bands like Low Down, Halycon Way, A Lower Deep, and others have reminded me why I love the music I do.

In SONY BMG Music Entertainment vs. Cloud, a case in Pennsylvania where the RIAA’s statutory damages seeking from 2200 to 450 thousand times the amount of actual damages is being tested. the United States DOJ has filed papers indicating that it’s considering intervening in the case to defend the constitutionality of such awards. They are requesting an extension of time to make the decision.
This will test whether President Barack Obama’s policies against members of his administration participating in matters in which they were previously involved will be applied, since partners from Jenner and Block, the architects of the RIAA’s mass litigation campaign, now occupy the second and third highest positions in the new administration’s DOJ.
According to the President’s policies, they should be recused from this case.
This will be a good test of the Obama administration living up to the president’s pledge to stand up for the people, rather than for the big corporations.
Click here to write president Obama and ask him Not to intervene.

Hello, My name is Jamie Hincher. I’ve been a quadriplegic for 8 years now. For the last 18 months I’ve been without a van, making trips to the Dr. Office extremely hard and my social life virtually non-existent. I’m trying to raise money from this site and local charity organizations.

OZZY OSBOURNE is currently in the studio in Los Angeles co-producing his 10th studio album with Kevin Churko. The new CD is the rock & roll legend’s follow-up to 2007’s Black Rain which debuted in the Top Ten on the album charts in 11 countries and spawned OZZY’s first ever #1 active rock track, “I Don’t Wanna Stop” (which also sat atop the Heritage Rock chart for more than 20 weeks). The two-time Grammy Award winner has decided that he will not be touring until he has a new album in-stores (currently projected to be Thanksgiving 2009). Thus, OZZY has decided to put his namesake festival OZZFEST on hold this year. In the meantime, if you need an OZZY fix you can watch him with Sharon, Kelly and Jack on the “first family of rock’s” return to television. THE OSBOURNES: RELOADED is set to launch this spring on Fox TV. Stay tuned for more information THE OSBOURNES: RELOADED and the new OZZY OSBOURNE album.
I Can’t wait to get my Headbang Hero Wireless Wig with Accelerometer! This would be the craziest addon for this wildly popular game!

I’m more than a little wary of a huge merger like this between ticketing giant Ticketmaster and concert promoter Live Nation. This new behemoth company Live Nation Entertainment will produce a stranglehold in the concert business.
How much is this going to cost us concert goers? I’m already fed up with all the fee’s involved in buying a damn Ticketmaster ticket. I get a $12 handling fee, $4 processing fee, and to top it off a damn $2.50 fee to print out my own tickets using my ink and paper! That’s about 30% markup in the ticket price just to do business with Ticketmaster.
A statement on Bruce Springsteen’s website says “The one thing that would make the current ticket situation even worse for the fan than it is now would be Ticketmaster and Live Nation coming up with a single system, thereby returning us to a near-monopoly situation in music ticketing,”
The merger between Live Nation and Ticketmaster could be completed within a few days. Hopefully the new concert giant will face a vigorous antitrust investigation before getting the approval.
