OBITUARY BIO:

One of the most influential, revered and best-selling death metal bands of all time, OBITUARY formed in the swamplands of South Florida in 1986 after switching their name from Xecutioner.  the band signed to Roadracer Records, a now defunct division of Roadrunner, for the recording of their debut album, the immense and immeasurably heavy Slowly We Rot (1989). The album was engineered by the legendary Scott Burns at Morrisound Studio, which would come to be the most sought after facility for production of albums during the rise of death metal in the 1990s. Unlike much death metal preceding it, the album had a sludgy feel and integrated devastatingly slow passages along with obliterating overtures that reached far beyond any point of mayhem that metal had yet to reach. The result was a carnal pleasure for doom, death and thrash fans alike coupling the adrenaline of a speedball with the slow, degrading measures of a sewer at dusk. OBITUARY were unlike anything anyone had heard before and would change the shape of heavy music forever.

OBITUARY followed up Slowly We Rot with Cause of Death (1990), perhaps the band’s most hailed album and an even more chaotic, bass heavy mix of the band’s signature groove, manic guitar solos and crashing drums. The album’s defining feature, however, was vocalist John Tardy’s disarmingly horrific, gargling style, that created guttural chasms of dread which, though often mimicked, have been achieved by no one else. Drastically shifting tempos and Tardy’s unique vocal style became the band’s trademark, which clearly distinguished them from the rest of the burgeoning US death metal scene.

OBITUARY spent the next two decades releasing some of the finest death metal ever put to tape with classics like The End Complete (1992), World Demise (1994), and Frozen in Time (2005) solidifying them as one of the genre’s most important bands of all time. Fast forward to 2014, when after a five year gap between albums, OBITUARY successfully crowdfunded their new album and subsequently partnered with Relapse Records for it’s release. Reinvigorated with a new lineup featuring the additions of legendary bassist Terry Butler (Death, Massacre, Six Feet Under) and lead guitarist Ken Andrews. The result was Inked In Blood (2014) which immediately took the world by storm.  The next couple years revolved around an extensive world tour schedule that took them to sold-out venues across the globe including tours with Cannibal Corpse, Carcass and Exodus and multiple mainstage festival appearances including 7000 Tons of Metal, Maryland Deathfest, Hellfest, Obscene Extreme, Full Terror Assault, Neurotic Deathfest, Graspop Metal Meeting, and the band’s own inaugural Florida Metal Fest.

To end 2016, OBITUARY released a surprise, live EP, Ten Thousand Ways to Die, featuring two brand new songs plus twelve classics and fan favorites recorded across eleven different cities during the Inked In Blood world tour. The EP left die-hard fans craving more, unbeknownst that it was just the beginning.

Now in 2017, OBITUARY return with their self-titled, 10th studio album, further cementing their legacy as one of the most important metal bands of all time! Picking up where Inked In Blood left off, OBITUARY show no signs of slowing down as they continue to reign as Kings of death metal. Recorded at their home studio in Tampa, FL, Obituary is a 10 track tour-de-force of bone-pulverising death metal that is as heavy, uncompromising and infectious as anything they’ve released in their historic, nearly 30-year career!

OBITUARY are:
John Tardy – Vocals
Trevor Peres – Guitar
Ken Andrews Jr. – Guitar
Terry Butler – Bass
Donald Tardy – Drums

Upon release, Generation Doom debuted at #10 on the Billboard Independent Chart, #7 on the Rock Chart, #4 on the Hard Rock Chart and #109 on the Top 200 Albums Chart. Watch the music video for the powerful single “Zero” here.
About OTEP:
OTEP is an explosion of inspiration and motivation, empowered by their dedication to the arts, being a voice for the voiceless and fighting injustice.
Originally discovered by Jack and Sharon Osbourne in Los Angeles, OTEP was offered to play Ozzfest as an unsigned band and was the first female fronted band to play the touring festival. She signed with legendary label Capitol Records, without a demo, after only five live shows, and strictly on the power of her live performance. OTEP has gone on to record six studio albums, an EP and a live album.
Nominated by GLAAD for Outstanding Artist Award alongside Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert, she won MTV’s prestigious Best Video for “Music With A Message” award. The singer, writer and activist spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2008 on behalf of Rock The Vote. A celebrated spoken word artist, OTEP has appeared on HBO’s Def Poetry twice, recorded an unreleased poetry album and authored three books of poetry. She has also authored a book of short stories titled Movies In My Head and produced and directed an audiobook of one of the stories titled Pinebox Jake. Utilizing her incredibly dynamic vocal range, OTEP also succeeds as a voiceover artist, appearing in many projects such as the award-winning video game The Last Of Us and in feature films including THE HOBBIT: The Battle Of The Five Armies. Her live performances alongside her very talented band have been described as a “complete mutiny of the senses” – combining spoken word with a cathartic range of emotional screams and soft melodies over an equally bedlamite alchemy of masterful music. Armed with the lethality of master artists, they continue to inspire and crush live shows around the world.

Night Ranger to Release New Studio Album “Don’t Let Up” March 24th

Frontiers Music Srl is proud to announce the release of “Don’t Let Up”, the new studio album from Night Ranger. “Don’t Let Up” is set for a March 24th release. The album will be available in both a standard edition and a deluxe edition (featuring bonus track and bonus DVD – physical format only). For your first taste of new music from the album, check out “Somehow Someway” HERE.
“‘Somehow Someway’ is all Night Ranger. It not only captures the spirit of our live shows but also is the essence of who we are and who we have been for the last 35 years…a kick ass American rock and roll band…case closed,” says Jack Blades, bassist and vocalist .
Adds Kelly Keagy, drummer and vocalist, “[t]he song “Somehow Someway”  is an up-tempo rocker with an infectious, big guitar lick. Take caution while you’re driving in your car, you may find yourself going WAY over the speed limit. Check it out!”
“Our new single, ‘Somehow Someway’ is a rockin’ barnburner up to the standards of our first single, “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”. This could be a great song to perform live and add to our setlist….Enjoy!!” encourages guitarist Brad Gillis.
Pre-order “Don’t Let Up” and/or stream the first single here: http://radi.al/NightRangerDontLetUp or at the links below:
Night Ranger truly epitomizes the sound of the 80’s, while at the same time transcending it. Since their reunion in 1996, they have brought their guitar heavy, melodic brand of hard rock into the 21st century with their unparalleled talent, energy, and creativity.
The new album, “Don’t Let Up” was self-produced by the band.
“The “Don’t Let Up” album is the result of five musicians living and breathing rock ‘n roll 24 hours a day. 35 years on and Night Ranger is once again ready to let the fans know “It’s Only Rock and Roll, but I like it,” says Blades of the new album.
Keagy adds, “Working on the material for the new album “Don’t Let Up” was a great experience once again. I always look forward to creating music with Brad, Eric, Kerri, and Jack. I’m really looking forward to playing some of this material for the fans. It rocks!”
“I’m looking forward to the new Night Ranger studio effort ‘Don’t Let Up’ as it’s always a pleasure releasing new material to keep the bands creative flow. As typical for NR, we have all the elements that made us popular in the first place, including twin lead vocal tradeoffs with Jack and Kelly and dual guitar harmonies and solos with my new partner in crime, Keri Kelli. We’ve stacked the deck again with up tempo driving rock songs, mid tempo tunes and a few acoustic ballad tracks. We’re hoping this new album will be added to your existing Night Ranger catalog!!!” enthuses Gillis.
With more than 17 million albums sold worldwide, over 3000 live shows performed, and more than 1 billion in radio audience, Night Ranger has both epitomized and transcended the arena rock sound and style of that era and beyond. With songs that have significantly impacted popular culture and continue to expand their ever-growing fan-base, Night Ranger is proof that powerful songs, plus accomplished musicians is the perfect formula for continued success.
Night Ranger has earned widespread acclaim, multi-platinum and gold album status while leaving their indelible mark on the music charts with a string of best-selling albums (Dawn Patrol, Midnight Madness, 7 Wishes, Big Life and Man In Motion), its popularity fueled by an impressive string of instantly recognizable hit singles and signature album tracks. Producing legendary hits such as “Sister Christian”, “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, “When You Close Your Eyes” the anthemic “(You Can Still) Rock In America”, along with “Sentimental Street”, “Goodbye”, “Sing Me Away”, “Four in the Morning” and more.
The band was also one of the first big “video” bands, with over 10 number 1 videos on MTV.
Over the years, the band’s music has made notable contributions to and been featured in many different areas of media and popular culture. Night Ranger‘s songs can be heard in TV Shows; The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, American Dad, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy, Parks & Recreation; Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Grand Theft Auto, video games; Rock of Ages hit Broadway musical and feature film; the Oscar-Nominated film Boogie Nights, Friday the 13th, Teachers, Sixteen Candles, The Secret of My Success; JBL’s “Hear The Truth” brand campaign; and many more!
NIGHT RANGER is Jack Blades (bass, vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums, vocals), Brad Gillis (lead & rhythm guitars), Eric Levy (keyboards), and Keri Kelli (lead & rhythm guitars).

Frontiers Music Srl to Release House of Lords “Saint of the Lost Souls” March 24th

First Song “Oceans Divide” Available for Streaming

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of “Saint Of The Lost Souls”,the tenth studio album from House Of Lords.  The album, which is the follow up to their highly successful “Indestructible”, will be released March 24th.

Beginning today, the first audio offering from “Saint Of The Lost Souls” entitled “Oceans Divide” can be streamed HERE.
“Saint of the Lost Souls” can be pre-ordered here: http://radi.al/SaintoftheLostSouls and at the links below:
Recorded and produced by the band’s singer and mastermind James Christian, this collection of songs has an incredible flow of up-tempo and mid-tempo rockers mixed with power ballads, which lean a bit more toward keyboards this time around, but without compromising the band’s trademark sound which is based around Jimi Bell’s guitar.
“Saint Of The Lost Souls” is already one of the years most anticipated melodic rock releases and will not disappoint fans of the band or genre. James Christian’s well crafted and smooth vocals bring the band’s craft to new heights. Guitarist Jimi Bell is on fire and the melodic riffs throughout the album will leave you breathless. A new addition on bass is Chris Tristram, who is no stranger to the rock community. His solid performance adds another dimension to the sound and BJ Zampa brings a solid and powerful rhythm foundation to House of Lords.
House of Lords debuted in 1989 with the release of their self-titled album, a record which is still regarded as one of the best arena rock releases of the 80’s. The colossal sound, the soaring vocals of James Christian and instrumental capabilities of the band (which featured ex-Angel and Giuffria keyboardist, Gregg Giuffria, along with luminaries Lanny Cordola, Chuck Wright and Ken Mary), were reminiscent of such frontrunners as Whitesnake, Deep Purple and Van Halen and immediately brought the band to the attention of the music media and fans.
With their sophomore release, “Sahara”, House of Lords had considerable radio and video chart success with their cover of Blind Faith’s “Can’t Find My Way Home”. After a tour with Nelson in 1991, the group disbanded, eventually coming back together with a new lineup (featuring original members Giuffria and Christian) in 1992 with “Demon’s Down”. With the change in musical climate at the time, House of Lords went into hibernation until the original lineup came back together in 2000, releasing the controversial “Power and the Myth”, an album which featured a sound leaning more towards progressive hard rock with 70’s rock influences. After a short European tour, singer James Christian decided to go back to the trademark arena rock sound of House Of Lords, putting together a new line-up with the blessing of founding member Gregg Giuffria, who opted out right before the release of “Power and the Myth”. New members Jimi Bell on guitars and B.J. Zampa on drums supplied a true powerhouse sound to the fifth studio album, “World Upside Down”, a record which caused a real stir in the hard rock and melodic rock scenes. That album was followed up by the equally impressive “Come to My Kingdom” in 2008, “Cartesian Dreams” in 2009, “Big Money” in 2011, and “Precious Metal” in 2014.
The band has toured relentlessly in Europe and the States in support of their releases and have now become a true staple of the hard rock scene on both continents. House Of Lords stands for superb hooks and majestic atmospheres that bring back the memories of their stellar debut album, monumental guitar riffs and a production to die for. All these ingredients you will find on “Saint Of The Lost Souls” which shines from the first second to the last!

“When writing records the song titles and album titles are always the last things on our minds,” said vocalist John Tardy. “We know that the songs themselves are the most important thing, so with this our 10th studio album and nearly three decades as a band, we thought it was the perfect time for a self-titled release. It always helps to have a killer album cover so we worked with Andreas Marschall, gave him our ideas and thoughts and asked him to break out the big guns to create an epic logo and he delivered like he always has for Obituary”.
The band further added:
We could not be any more excited about this new album. We had a blast writing and recording it and having Ken and Terry as part of the writing process was a very cool experience for all of us. We really took our time with the writing process of these new songs, recording riffs and ideas as we went along and recording them as rough mixes then listening back and making necessary changes to help mold them into the songs that we are extremely proud of.
It’s always a challenge in the studio to get the song ideas out of your head onto the recording the way you want but we made sure we were comfortable with the songs and the sounds we were getting before we even hit the record button and it made it a great experience. It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 1/2 years since the release of inked in blood and we are so excited to get this new album into the hands of our fans. Can’t wait for everyone to hear it, hang on to your ass!!!!”

Max & Iggor Cavalera are the original founding members of influential RIAA Gold-Certified Brazilian heavy metal legends Sepultura, and specifically the team behind the band’s early albums, including seminal releases Arise, Chaos A.D. and Roots. Since the band’s formation over 30 years ago, the Cavalera brothers have each seen unparalleled successes in the music industry. Max’s more recent work with Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy (also featuring Iggor) and Killer Be Killed, in addition to Iggor’s project MIXHELL, proves the lasting power of the Cavalera legacy.
Just prior to tour kick off, Rhino Records will release a six-CD box set ($39.98) of classic Sepultura records, entitled The Roadrunner Albums. The collection will also be released on vinyl as a six-LP set with each album pressed in a different color ($99.98). The collection combines Sepultura’s debut EP Bestial Devastation with the group’s first six studio albums: Morbid Visions (1986), Schizophrenia (1987), Beneath The Remains (1989), Arise (1991), Chaos A.D. (1993), and Roots (1996). The set hits stores on January 27, and pre-orders will be available soon.
