ABOUT LAMB OF GOD:
Richmond, VA natives LAMB OF GOD are one of heavy music’s most successful and uncompromising bands. When the band’s first major release, New American Gospel, was released in 2000 it was immediately touted as a classic within the genre. AllMusic stated it best, “The essential signatures of post-Pantera metal are in abundance on Lamb of God’s inaugural album. New American Gospel provides a mighty oak upon which gritty American metal’s faith is maintained, effectively bridging the ’90s’ insistence upon drill-sergeant technicality and the old school’s determined focus on riff construction.”

Some predicted a sophomore slump – that no band could top a debut album so strong. They were proven wrong, with the release of 2004’s Ashes of the Wake, an album that not only exploded stateside (certified Gold by RIAA) but also saw the spread of LAMB OF GODto all corners of the world. The band’s first DVD, Killadelphia, followed shortly after and was certified Platinum. Then, with Sacrament (Album, 2006, #8 debut on the US Billboard Hot 200), LAMB OF GOD were honored with a Grammy nomination for the track “Redneck”, which would be the first of five Grammy nominations for the band to date. Next came Walk With Me In Hell (DVD, 2008) and then the band’s fourth album Wrath in 2009, which debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 200 Chart, and then Resolution, which debuted at #3. Shortly after the release of Resolution, vocalist Randy Blythe was arrested in Prague, and spent 30 days in jail on a charge for which he was later acquitted (and lead to Blythe’s bestselling memoir, Dark Days, as well as the film As The Palaces Burn). After regrouping,LAMB OF GOD lost no ground with their latest full-length album, VII: Sturm Und Drang, the album was #3 in the US, #1 in Canada, #2 in Australia, #3 in Finland, #7 in UK, #12 in Germany and #13 in Japan, and #13 in Netherlands. “Overlord”, the first single from VII: Sturm Und Drang, achieved a new milestone for the band when it reached the Top Thirty of US Active Rock Radio Chart (Mediabase). In late 2016, LAMB OF GOD paid tribute to late, longtime fan and friend Wayne Ford with the release of The Duke EP, which raised funds and awareness for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The EP release coincided with a charity campaign offering personal items such as Blythe’s Ashes Of The Wake Gold plaque, signed signature model guitars, handwritten lyrics and more.

Since inception and through it all, LAMB OF GOD’s consistent and unwavering commitment to their music – and their fans – has kept them a critical and fan favorite worldwide, selling millions of albums and tickets around the world.

LAMB OF GOD is Randy Blythe (vocals), Mark Morton (guitar), Willie Adler (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Chris Adler (drums).

W.A.S.P. Release Video Clip For “Doctor Rockter”

Taken From
“ReIdolized (The Soundtrack to the Crimson Idol)” via Ultimate Guitar!

On February 2nd, 2018 W.A.S.P. released their critically acclaimed 25th anniversary edition “ReIdolized (The Soundtrack to the Crimson Idol)” of their iconic hit album “The Crimson Idol”. The re-recordings of one of the best concept albums of all times tell the legendary story of Jonathan Aaron Steele, an abused child looking for love. Discovering music years later, he rises to international superstardom. Later followed by a catastrophic fall.
W.A.S.P. now release a lyric video adaption for the song “Docter Rockter” from the original motion picture, that comes as part of “ReIdolized (The Soundtrack to the Crimson Idol)” on BluRay and DVD! The song displays Jonathan Aaron Steele’s path to self-destruction through drug abuse and meaningless encounters to numb the pain he feels inside.
Blackie Lawless states about the video: Few times in life or art does reality mirror or equal imagination. The casting of the characters in this  portion of the story, specifically “Doctor Rockter” was precisely what I had envisioned when I conceived those lyrics.  Rarely does it marry together as well as it did in this video. The characters were suitably revolting…….and REAL!

KOBRA AND THE LOTUS Release First Lyric Video For “Losing My Humanity”

Album “Prevail II” coming April 27th 2018!

The first single Losing My Humanity‘ from KOBRA AND THE LOTUS‘ upcoming album “Prevail II” is celebrating its track premiere with a lyric video! The album will follow on April 27th 2018 via Napalm Records.

Losing My Humanity‘ is an exemplary melodic feast of both guitar and vocal craftsmanship that anchors the Canadian four piece firmly in between hard rock and heavy metal with a modern touch and the occasional classic rock!
KOBRA about the new song and story behind:
“Ignorance is bliss. This song is the cynical point of view regarding the ways of human nature. We pretend we’ve been different but throughout history we have always been a barbaric and brash species. The silence kept during times of pain or unjust suffering is profoundly loud. Does it make us better when we stand by and say or do nothing when we know something is wrong? I would argue it makes us almost the same. Take the words figuratively or literally, I’m just calling it as I see it, even if it’s me taking a clear look at myself in the mirror.”
This is not just another lyric video. It gives the perfect underlining of what the song is all about: a critical reflection of what humanity is all about and what it became in the past years.
Watch the lyric video premiere HERE, courtesy of Bravewords!

NOCTURNAL GRAVES announce new album, stream new track

NOCTURNAL GRAVES logo

NOCTURNAL GRAVES have revealed details surrounding their new album. The long-awaited full-length, their first in five years is titled ‘Titan’ will be released worldwide on May 18. The Australian war machine unleash hell once again with their brutish take on razor wire satanic death metal. ‘Titan’ will be released across CD and LP formats including a deluxe LP with silkscreen print at the Season of Mist E-Shop.

NOCTURNAL GRAVES have unleashed the first new track off ‘Titan’. An explosive take on the outer fringes of underground extreme death metal, titled “Ecdysis, Shedding Weak Flesh” is streaming now at Decibel Magazine.

Regarding the new track, NOCTURNAL GRAVES comment: “‘Ecdysis, Shedding Weak Flesh’ deals with tearing down boundaries and ridding oneself of the restraints that hinder the advancement of the individual. When removing weakness, one must march forward and abandon ways that are tried and tested. This is representative of the approach that we took to the album as a whole. ‘Ecdysis’ in particular forges a new path that we have previously left unexplored. Still reveling in darkness, yet twisting in ways we had not imagined. Here is the first offering, we are eager to unleash this upon you all!”

The artwork and track listing for ‘Titan’ can be found below:

Track-list
1. Resistance
2. Roar of the Wild
3. Ecdysis, Shedding Weak Flesh
