Chris Bay regarding the video and the song: “Here it is, the brand new video clip “Flying Hearts” from my solo album “Chasing the Sun”. This great clip was filmed during our Southeast Asian tour with Freedom Call in Thailand, so the album title “Chasing the Sun” is literally a program. For me, this video is very special, as I have been very touched by the flair, the beautiful landscape and the cordiality of this country. I wish you a lot of fun with this clip. Certainly, it will cause some of you wanderlust….in any case, that’s how I feel.”
The solo album “Chasing The Sun” was released in February 2018 as CD, download and stream.  The album can be purchased HERE.

Performing on the album is guitarist Nylock, handling guitar, bass, drums, Piano Keyboards, and Orchestral Arrangements.  Vocals were performed by Drogoth, with additional guitar by Neal Tiemann.
Guitarist Nylock had this to say about the writing process:
“I wanted to do something different. I wasn’t concerned with genre or subculture. I just wanted to write for the piece and let it flow from the darkness, untapped and unfiltered. Just the metal that I wanted to create, nothing more.”
The band will be celebrating the release at their Album Release show at The Slidebar in Fullerton, CA on June 24, 2018.
The band also recently released a music video for one of the tracks from the release entitled “The True Knot”which can be seen here:

LAMB OF GOD Reveals BURN THE PRIEST Cover of Big Black’s “Kerosene”

Listen Now & Pre-Order Merch Bundles via
LAMB OF GOD Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of BURN THE PRIEST with Release of New Covers Album, Legion: XX, in Stores May 18, 2018 via Epic Records
Featuring Covers of Classics by Cro-Mags, Bad Brains, Big Black, Ministry, Melvins, Quicksand and More
Legion: XX Album Art
RIAA-certified, Billboard chart-topping, five-time Grammy nominated Richmond, VA band LAMB OF GOD recently announced the release of their highly-anticipated full-length covers album as BURN THE PRIESTLegion: XX – a collection of songs reflecting the greatness of the classic punk, hardcore, crossover and noise artists that influenced them in their formative years, executed with their signature modern sound.
Legion: XX features tracks originally performed by Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, Quicksand, Ministry, Bad Brains, Melvins, S.O.D., the Accused, Big Black, and Richmond punk band Sliang Laos. Produced with Josh Wilbur at the helm, Legion: XX exhibits BURN THE PRIEST in their true element.
Following up on the surprise release of their cover of the Accused‘s “Inherit The Earth” last month, the band is releasing another blistering track from Legion: XX – a charging cover of Big Black‘s “Kerosene”. Listen now via
Big Black is a very important band to me,” says vocalist Randy Blythe. “When I was 12 and first listening to punk rock, I thought all punk came from England – but then through skating, I got into Black Flag and Bad Brains. I soon discovered this super-smart American punk rock – very caustic, and deeply sardonic about the murky side of the human experience. That got me into Steve Albini’s future bands Shellac and Rapeman – and all the noisy smart punk rock on labels like AmRep and Touch & Go. ‘Kerosene’ was one of their biggest songs, if they even had one. It speaks to small-town boredom.”
Legion: XX will be released on May 18, 2018 via Epic Records in celebration of BURN THE PRIEST‘s upcoming 20th anniversary. Pre-orders and merch bundles are available now via and fans can stream “Inherit The Earth” and “Kerosene” here: On street date, a 7″ vinyl version of “Inherit the Earth” featuring a B-side of “In the Meantime” (originally performed by Helmet), will also be available.
LAMB OF GOD may be one of the biggest bands in modern metal, but they will never forget where they came from. Mark Morton (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Chris Adler (drums) formed the first incarnation of the band, BURN THE PRIEST, in the winter of 1994 after meeting four years earlier as students at Virginia Commonwealth University. Less than a year later, in the summer of 1995, they met vocalist Randy Blythe before adding Chris Adler’s brother, Willie Adler (guitar), prior to transitioning to LAMB OF GOD – and the rest is global metal history.
The tracks on Legion: XX are performed with the unmistakable precision that has kept LAMB OF GOD vital for two decades, but ultimately harks back to the raw, punk-driven sound first explored by four unsuspecting college students and a line cook-turned-vocalist in their beginnings as heavy music giants.
Legion: XX track listing:
1. Inherit The Earth (originally performed by The Accused)
2. Honey Bucket (originally performed by Melvins)
3. Kerosene (originally performed by Big Black)
4. Kill Yourself (originally performed by S.O.D.)
5. I Against I (originally performed by Bad Brains)
6. Axis Rot (originally performed by Sliang Laos)
7. Jesus Built My Hotrod (originally performed by Ministry)
8. One Voice (originally performed by Agnostic Front)
9. Dine Alone (originally performed by Quicksand)
10. We Gotta Know (originally performed by Cro-Mags)

KOBRA AND THE LOTUS Release Video For Cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain”

On Tour in the US Now!
New Album “Prevail II” Out This Friday via Napalm Records

Prevail II is the proverbial yang to the yin and continues right where KOBRA AND THE LOTUS left off in 2017.  The album will be released this Friday via Napalm Records and is available for pre order HERE.
Today the band is pleased to unveil their video for a cover of the Fleetwood Mac classic “The Chain”.  Watch the video HERE.
“We couldn’t be more stoked to release the final closer to our ‘Prevail’ album series!! We’ve chosen a classic, recorded in 1976, and we hope to connect and carry the magic forward from that musical era.
Here it is, ‘The Chain’ by Fleetwood Mac, in full Kobra and the Lotus spirit. Can you recognize it?” says Kobra about the video and song.
The band is currently on the road in support of Prevail II, alongside Texas Hippie Coalition. The tour stops tonight in Atlanta, GA at The Masquerade and runs through June 3rd in Austin, TX.  A complete list of dates can be found below.
Kobra and the rest of the band are crushing it so far on tour:
“The USA shows w/ Texas Hippie Coalition have been great so far!! The final countdown to our album release has begun and we’re pumped up to be jamming the new tunes on the road with everybody. Come out and rock with us!!!!”
Watch the video for “Let Me Love You”HERE.
A lyric video for “Losing My Humanity” is streaming  HERE.
On April 27th another mark in history will be checked off for the band; the release of the second part, Prevail II.  It comes as no surprise that Prevail is reminiscent of some of the material on High Priestess thanks to Kobra and Jasio’s partnership, but in truth, this massive body of work attests to Kobra And The Lotus’ massive growth as songwriters and musicians since 2015. On paper it sounds like lip service to say the band has become heavier, more dynamic and adventurous, but your ears don’t lie.
Bottom line… Kobra And The Lotus remain fearless as they move forward with Prevail II, and with good reason. It is a rock n roll feast!

Witch Casket Releases Music Video For “The True Knot”

In anticipation of the release of their debut EP entitled “Hatred Index”, Southern California Blackened Death Metal outfit Witch Casket have announced the release of the music video for “The True Knot”, one of the tracks from their upcoming album due out April 27th.  The video was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by the band’s vocalist “Drogoth”.
Watch the video HERE.
Drogoth had this to say about the video:
“Since our first music video was mainly a “performance” video, I wanted to do something more cinematic and story driven. The video finds the band members fleeing the city, being pursued by an unseen adversary, or perhaps being drawn to the outskirts by the call of a coven of powerful witches.  The band is taken on a journey that serves as a sort of “origin story”, following them through a transformation from crestfallen reprobates to a stronger, more unified force. The video was shot on location in Downtown Los Angeles, as well as along the Angeles Crest Highway in the San Gabriel mountains.”
“The True Knot” will be the third video released by the band, following the release of a lyric video for the song “That Damn Devil”, and the music video for the album’s title track “Hatred Index”, both of which are available on the band’s YouTube channel HERE.
The full cast and crew credits for the video are as follows:

US metalcore band THE WORD ALIVE have announced the release of new album Violent Noise on 4 May via Fearless Records and unveiled new single ‘Red Clouds’. The album is available to pre-order and can check out ‘Red Clouds’ here:

‘Red Clouds’ is the first single off Violent Noise and tells the story of how The Word Alive came to be,” explains vocalist Telle Smith. “Before we knew each other, every step we took into life’s unknown led us to each other and to creating the songs we’ve played across the world to our incredible fans for the last nine years. We’ve endured every challenge a band can face, and have continued to rededicate ourselves to each other as friends throughout. The same passion that ignited this band remains today. We’re more than individuals because The Word Alive could never be a single person or a single song. We’re a family that includes every single one of you. So as we begin this new chapter together, and we let you into our lives and minds more than ever we hope you’re ready to overcome your own challenges and fears to chase your dreams with us. It begins…

The band’s fifth record Violent Noise is yet another step in the evolution of the highly impressive group, who reached as high as #31 on the Billboard Top 200 with previous release Dark Matter.

Now a trio – Tyler “Telle” Smith [vocals], Zack Hansen [guitars], Tony Pizzuti [guitars] – Violent Noise represents the culmination of a decade of a band and an unbreakable bond. In many ways, THE WORD ALIVE set the stage for the next progression on Violent Noise with Dark Matter. They’ve re-teamed with the producer behind their last offering,Matt Good [Asking Alexandria, From First To Last], and followed a similar spirit unafraid to experiment.

Since 2008, The Word Alive have steadily maintained a course towards the forefront of alternative music and continue the upward trajectory with their fifth studio album Violent Noise. The Phoenix-based trio-Telle Smith [vocals], Zack Hansen [guitars], Tony Pizzuti [guitars]-tosses and turns between visceral metallic power and entrancing emotionality encased in swathes of otherworldly electronics. It’s a singular sound that has naturally evolved since Deceiver [2010] and through Life Cycles [2012], Real. [2014], and Dark Matter [2016].

They’ve earned acclaim from the likes of Alternative PressRevolverGuitar World, and Modern Drummer, have supported I Prevail, Killswitch Engage, A Day To Remember, Asking Alexandria, Motionless In White, and Parkway Drive, among others, and are known for their ability to ignite crowds across the globe. 2018’s Violent Noise represents the culmination of a decade and the unbreakable bond shared by Telle, Zack, and Tony.

They re-teamed with the producer behind their last offering Matt Good [Asking Alexandria, From First To Last] and followed a spirit unafraid to experiment. By holding nothing back, The Word Alive’s connection rings out louder than ever before on Violent Noise. “The most distracting noise in life is the one that comes from your head,” Telle explains. “We all battle with self-doubt, insecurities, and trust. This record is about the balance. There’s light and dark. Nevertheless, you always have control. I want to show everybody that. I’m proof.”
